Neinor Homes has taken part in the 21st edition of the Goldman Sachs European Financials Conference, which was held between 7 and 9 June at Madrid's Hotel Intercontinental.

Neinor Homes' CEO, Juan Velayos, who was present at the Conference on 7 June, revealed the company's burgeoning development activity in Q2, which translates into the release of new residential schemes and the upcoming handover of a number of completed developments.

The CEO explained that the company has released 9 new schemes since the start of Q2, which represent a total of 455 homes. Neinor Homes currently has 65 active developments across Spain.

Juan Velayos also underlined the rocketing rate of pre-sales which, in line with the trend seen in Q1 2017, has been strengthened by the recent release of four new schemes—namely, Abra Homes (Biscay), Prado Homes (Madrid), and Port Forum III Homes and Volpelleres Homes II (in the province of Barcelona)—with a combined residential offering of 280 homes.

He also noted that the construction of the new development Goiegi Homes (Guipuzcoa) got underway in April, bringing the company's current works to 31, which account for 2038 homes under development.

In terms of handover timings, the CEO confirmed that 2-3 residential developments (i.e. 75-125 homes) are now ready for handover, thereby meeting planned deadlines and forecasted costs.

Measures intended to institutionalise the sector

On another note, Juan Velayos also highlighted the company's efforts to contribute to the transformation of the sector by laying the foundations for its institutionalisation and professionalisation via the implementation of several measures, including:

The implementation of the Code of Practice for Real Estate Agents, in an effort to advocate absolute transparency in the land buying process; the launch of the Family Homes Protection cover that offers extra protection to home buyers; or the Neinor Homes Mobility Pack—a new service offering buyers the possibility of including certain home improvements to enhance accessibility and mobility.

Lastly, he stressed the company's continuous commitment to quality and sustainability, and explained that all architects working with Neinor Homes use Building Information Modelling (BIM) to ensure the highest quality standards and obtaining the Breeam certification to secure maximum degree of environmental friendliness.
