The company earned this recognition with a rating of 300+ and strives to further increase its excellence
Residential developer Neinor Homes has become the first real estate developer in Spain to get EFQM seal of European Excellence granted by the Management Excellence Club (Club Excelencia en Gestión), becoming the first company in the sector in Spain to join this business management and assessment model.
The company achieved this recognition with a score of 300+ after an external assessment process that mainly highlighted the company's work in managing alliances and resources, commitment to industrialisation and integrated model for risk management and compliance.
As Neinor Homes CEO Juan Velayos explained, EFQM certification is part of the company's aspirations to become an enterprise of excellence in business management.
"The complete transformation we are promoting in Spanish real estate development requires quality processes and practices with the highest level of excellence. This is why we believe that subjecting organisations to this type of scrutiny can only help improve results and promote sustainable growth," he said.
The EFQM model offers a comprehensive tool for objective structural analysis of how the company operates in order to improve management and move towards excellence, setting priorities for action.
It is based on what is known as the Values of Excellence, which are eight fundamental concepts for sustained excellence over time:
Adding value for customers; understanding and anticipating needs and opportunities; creating a sustainable future; advancing economic, social and environmental conditions around them; developing organisational capability to become more effective; harnessing creativity and innovation; leading with vision, inspiration and integrity; managing opportunities and threats with agility; succeeding through the talent of people; and sustaining outstanding results.
The criteria in this model are based on the impact on clients, on people, on society and on business, so this seal is a leading model in Europe and the world. In this regard, the CEO of Neinor Homes hopes that, by following the EFQM model, the company will inspire others in the sector, "along with which we will be able to definitively usher in the new era of residential development."
In the desire for ongoing improvement, the company may have its implementation of the EFQM model of excellence assessed biannually, striving to continue to improve in terms of excellence.
